These small petals reflect and filter the light, decreasing the energy of the wavelength. This then weakens the effect on the skin because it reduces its absorption into the hypodermis and aids in brightening the skin.
LYCOPENE
Found naturally in plants such as tomato and blueberry, Lycopene is one the most powerful members of the carotenoid family and an excellent blue light filter. Also helps protect from infrared rays.
xanthophyll
Xanthophylls, including lutein are naturally found in plants such as blueberries. The yellow-orange colour creates a total block of the blue component of visible light
KNOTGRASS
This small but mighty plant contains flavonoids which filter infrared rays helping preserve the dermal fibres and ultimately elasticity and tone of the skin.
Rice oil
Gamma Oryzanol from rice oil has a filtering effect on blue light rays. It also helps the absorption of Lycopene and Xanthophylls through the skin, acting as a booster for these other two components in DigiTect®.
